Addressing
the gathering during the press meet held on 4th April 2007,
Capt.G.Ramaswamy, General Manager (South India), Wallems expressed
the significance of on-board training imparted under Phase-2
in ATS. He added that cadets, having undergone the hands-on
training on-board during the second year, are able to perform
better compared to other boys of various streams thereby making
them more competent engineers. ATS facilitates the cadets to
prove their excellence as they gain full knowledge about the
functions, operations and maintenance of all the equipments
and machineries installed on-board before completing the course
itself, he endorsed. He stressed the need of hard-work required
to sustain as a professional and praised CSSM cadets for their
knowledge, skill and commitment shown by them during their
training. Capt.Ramaswamy said that he was highly impressed
by the performance of all the CSSM cadets, who sailed as 5th
Engineers with Wallems and that has made him come forward with
placement of many more cadets of CSSM. |
| Wallems already placed 12 cadets
passed out from CSSM in September 2006 as 5th Engineers. These
cadets achieved 95% pass results in the Class-IV Part “A” examinations
held in Oct-Nov, 2006. Ice on the cake is that another eight
cadets of the present batch, who are undergoing the final year
training at CSSM, are now selected for placement as 5th Engineers
as and when they clear the Class-IV Part ‘A’ exams.
These cadets were awarded appointment orders accordingly by Capt.
G. Ramaswamy, GM, Wallems on the above occasion. |
